Over more than two decades, James has worked as a journalist, government communications specialist, content designer, copywriter, and content marketer.

In that time, he has worked with The Government Digital Service, Slack, Ars Technica, 1Password and Essex County Council, among many others.

Wordlab is where James puts notes on the world of writing and communications — and especially doing these things clearly, in a human-centred way. It’s also a home for some of James’s other writings.
